Photos from Water Wednesday, April 9th at Harrison Community Center

The St. Louis River Alliance Water Trail Staff (Mikayla Erickson and Karen Sunderman) hosted their second Water Wednesday event on April 9th at Harrison Community Center (3002 W 3rd St). Guests sat down with one another and colored the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail logo, and placed stickers on their favorite place to enjoy along the river, all while enjoying coffee and meaningful conversation. Carl and Cale even wrote a river themed Haiku, how fun!

Karen and Mikayla answered questions that came up and handed out materials including maps, paddle safe information, and talked about upcoming events the SLRA planned through the summer. Thank you to everyone who returned from the first Water Wednesday, and thank you for everyone who stopped by this month. Water connects us all, and together we can all be river advocates. Thank you Terese and Tara for stopping by from the Duluth City Council.

Next month (May 14th) we are hosting at Lincoln Park Pavilion from 10:00am-12:00pm and we will be picking up trash around the park, and along Miller Creek. Bring a water bottle, and a smile!
